Having your own house is a dream in itself of a lot of people, but having your own beach resort or beach house seems like a far-fetched and unreachable dream for most people. But is this really the case? Can an average person really not have his or her own private beach resort?

If there is any place where this idea is possible, that would be the Philippines. With over 7000 islands, it is not surprising that there are also a lot of beach resorts in the Philippines, some of which are privately owned and used. If you are planning to purchase a property in the Philippines, it might be a good idea to consider getting a beachside property. Below are some of the best locations for buying a beach property in the Philippines.

• Batangas. One of the quickest beach destinations from Metro Manila, Batangas is a good location to try to look for a beach property. It is just a quick 3- to 4-hour drive from Metro Manila, making it a very convenient location if you still want to frequent Metro Manila or even if you just want to visit your beach house from time to time. However, it is also exactly because of this why beach properties in Batangas can be pricey compared to those in other provinces.

• Mindoro. Known for its white sand beaches, Mindoro is the usual destination off Batangas for those who want a beach with finer sand. Aside from its wonderful beaches, Mindoro is more rural than Batangas, providing you with a more rustic and peaceful environment. You can also get to know all about the Mangyans, which is an ethnic group in Mindoro, and their rich culture.

• Negros. This island in the Visayas is a lesser known beach destination. Nevertheless, just like many unexplored islands in the Philippines, it offers a lot of wonderful beaches, some of which are undeveloped, unexplored, and for sale for a relatively good price. If you can afford it, you can even go for small private islands off Negros or other provinces in Visayas instead of just acquiring a strip of beach property.

• Palawan. Although home to numerous small islands, many of which can be bought for the right price, Palawan is a more popular location even to foreigners, thus raising the price point for the islands and beach properties higher than in other locations. The property you will get are worth every peso though.
